Valley Police, Cherwell District Council and the Cherwell Crime Partnership are
working together with businesses across Cherwell to set up a Safe Place
network.
A ‘Safe
Place’ is somewhere that provides initial support to anyone who feels lost and
vulnerable when out and about in their community.
When a
person uses a ‘Safe Place’ they will be;
•
Able
to talk and be listened to
•
Reassured
and feel ‘safe’
•
Supported
and able to express what help they want
•
Offered
time and a safe place to wait
Most
businesses/publicly used locations will naturally already do this, Safe Places
is a way of letting the community know you are able and willing to help, making
you visible as part of the community to everyone.
