Our services support people with Learning disability, Mental Health difficulties, Autism, Dementia, Physical disability, victims of hate crime, people fleeing abuse and carers or support.
*Please note our safe places may not be open or change their opening and closing times* - we review this monthly and will try our best to keep it updated but this isn't always guaranteed. *
Sheffield Safe Places aims to support adults who may feel vulnerable when they are out and
about in Sheffield. If someone needs help, for example they are lost, ill or frightened, then they can enter the nearest safe place to get help.
If you want to sign up
Safe Places members are sent a pack containing a Keep Safe Card.
Members should write the name and phone number of a helper, carer or friend on this card and carry it round with them when they are out in Sheffield. If they need help, they can then enter a Safe Place, explain the problem or show their Keep Safe Card. This can also be used in emergency's.
In addition we provide advocacy related training and support for organisation to be accessible, friendly and supportive for everyone.
We provide free tailored training and workshops to private, public and third sector organisations. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.
